Application Management Department Manager

What will you be responsible for:

  • Guide, direct, and manage application management & maintenance team members
  • Oversee and manage team workload, utilization and productivity
  • Ensures direct reports are fully utilized. Identifies new resource needs and requests approval to hire new team members as needed.
  • Conducts performance reviews. Communicates goals and expectations with team and reviews progress on an ongoing basis to maximize probability of successfully meeting goals. Works with employees to improve performance/meet expectations when necessary.
  • Engages in career and development plans with team. Assists in procuring training resources and opportunities to promote employee career growth.
  • Recommends salary increases and bonuses.
  • Interviewing/recruiting new team members.
  • Successfully manages relationships and effectively communicates with Project Managers, Developers, Architects and non-technical team members
  • Ensure team's understanding of business goals, priorities, and how they align with customer needs and business direction
  • Designs application management services. Verifies workload estimations.
  • Manage workforce vendors and customers relationships
  • Manage and monitor department costs
  • Maintain appropriate position documentation
  • Serves as point of contact to other Atos business units in field of resources demands
  • Proactively identifies problems in teams and takes corrective action when necessary. Manages attrition.
  • Ensures that the team assigned to projects produces work as committed
  • Responsible for day to day management and competencies development of the team
  • Works with country Head of Application Management to establish roadmaps, vision and strategy for the team development

What do we require:

  • Ability to solve complex problems and effective communication in English and Polish
  • Experience in teams and ITIL/Agile based services building and maintaining
  • At least 4 years of experience in international or global company on IT related managerial position
  • Experience in solving problems in a corporate environment
  • Experience in both strategic and tactical operations
  • Understanding of application management & maintenance projects requirements
