Active Directory Admin

Location:

Brief JD:-

Candidate must be an excellent communicator, very organized, multi-task oriented and able to meet deadlines, and complete assignments with minimal supervision. Will be administering, tuning and maintaining AD Services.

  • Daily BAU L2/L3 Calls Support on Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Perform Change Management as per the process.
  • Support to all BAU [Business as usual] calls.
  • Support to raising & implementing CR’s in the Active Directory infrastructure.
  • The setup and maintenance of new infrastructure of Windows 2003, Windows 2008 Server Edition, Domain Controller, DNS Servers, DHCP Servers, File Server.
  • Good knowledge on File Shares.
  • Should have relevant experience of 3 -5 years

    Detailed Activities:-

  • Windows AD Incident/Production Management
  • Installing, Configuring and Hardening of Windows 2003 / 2008 /2012 Servers
  • Installing, Configuring and Managing AD / DHCP / DNS Services.
  • AD Replication monitoring and regular health checks to be performed.
  • Good knowledge on DFSR.
  • Good knowledge on File Shares.
  • Creating Group Policy’s and implementation as per standard procedures.
  • Perform Security Health Check of Windows servers and other compliance related activities.
  • The setup and maintenance of new infrastructure of Windows 2003, Windows 2008 Server Edition, Domain Controller, DNS Servers, DHCP Servers, File Server,
  • Coordinating with different lines of services with SLA.
  • Daily Operating System alert handling and response
  • Quarterly / half yearly password maintenance and scheduling
  • Ticket Status Check and Update
  • Respond to False Positive Alerts
  • Incident Escalation and Progress Monitoring
  • Handling Sev1 Incidents reported by automated alerts
  • Handling Sev2 Incidents reported by automated alerts
  • Handling Sev3 Incidents reported by automated alerts
  • Handling Sev1 Incidents reported by customer
  • Handling Sev2 Incidents reported by customer
  • Handling Sev3 Incidents reported by customer
  • Monitoring of DNS Resolution
  • Maintenance of DNS Zones
  • Monitoring of WINS resolution
  • WINS Server Maintenance
  • WINS Database Maintenance
  • Management investigation of customer complaints
  • Maintenance and review of application admin accounts
  • Install of OS, Tooling, Backup Software, system management components
  • Creation of application admin accounts (if more than 10)
  • Maintenance and review of application admin accounts (if more than 10)
  • Create file system

  • Administrative User Account Reviews

  • Change Management

  • Responsible for preparing RCA document for Severity 1 & Severity 2 calls.
  • Trend analysis of Capacity report

  • Identifying problem areas and finding out ways to reduce that

  • Documentation
  • Documenting the changes in change management.
  • Document the Incident Report in Incident Management Tools
  • Creating and updation of technical documentation

  • Reporting
  • Bi-annual capacity report generation
  • Reporting on outstanding Problem Records
  • Generation of Monthly Service Level Reports

  • Good analytical problem solving skills
  • Methodical and disciplined approach to work

  • An outgoing, positive thinker, with consistent levels of evident enthusiasm

  • Should have very good communication skill and should be able to understand different foreign accent
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Good understanding of Operating System infrastructures (And / Or relevant Application specific infrastructure as appropriate)
  • Experience of client/server and enterprise environments
  • Ability to structure and draft technical documentation
  • ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines
  • Customer relationship development and influencing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive.
  • Should be able to train junior team members
  • Having Windows certification in 2003/2008 will be an added advantage
  • Should have relevant experience in windows server management of 3- 5 years
