DEVOPS AUTOMATION ENGINEER

As a DevOps Automation Engineer at Eviden, you’ll collaborate with a team of engineers and architects to deliver and maintain CI/CD tooling that supports DevOps teams in delivering products to our clients. You will use a variety of tools and technologies and operate in a hybrid work model. You’ll manage various development tools for projects and clients and regularly communicate with external users. 

What will you do? 

• Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployments, and monitor infrastructure health using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python. 

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated software deployments using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI. 

• Work with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to manage infrastructure, deployments, and system monitoring, optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability. 

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to define and implement best practices for code deployment, system monitoring, and automated testing. 

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack. 

• Ensure security best practices are followed, including securing secrets, managing user access, and adhering to compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). 

What do you bring? 

• Experience maintaining multiple development tools within a CI/CD pipeline, including Kubernetes, Kafka, ElasticSearch, SonarQube, RedHat OpenShift, and Ansible, primarily within a .NET or Java environment. 

• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. 

• Strong understanding of the Java or .NET ecosystem and experience with automated provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. 

• Experience installing and configuring tools, both for new setups and upgrades to existing installations. 

• Ability to support team colleagues and advise clients. 

• Experience integrating tools and using REST APIs for further automation and integration. 

• Experience with Kong API Gateway is a plus. 

• A strong desire to learn new technologies and a proactive attitude toward exploring unknown technologies.
