As a DevOps/Automation Engineer at Eviden, you’ll work with our team of engineers and architects to deliver and maintain CI/CD tooling that supports DevOps teams in providing products to our clients. You’ll work with various toolsets. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be part of a team that typically operates in a hybrid work model. The team manages various development tools used for projects and clients. Communicating with external users will be part of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployments, and monitor infrastructure health. Use industry-standard tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python) to build automation solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and automated software deployment across environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Work with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to manage infrastructure, deployments, and system monitoring. Optimize for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to define and implement best practices for code deployment, system monitoring, and automated testing.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications. Tools may include Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and others.
- Ensure security best practices are followed, including securing secrets, managing user access, and applying relevant compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Required Skills:
- Maintaining multiple development tools that are part of a CI/CD pipeline, including Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastics, SonarQube, RedHat OpenShift, Ansible, etc., mostly within a .NET or Java environment.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.
- Besides a profound knowledge of the Java or .Net eco-system, knowledge of automated
- provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc;
- You can install and configure these tools both as new installations and as upgrades to existing installations.
- you are capable of supporting your team colleagues and advising clients
- You have experience linking the tools and are familiar with using REST APIs to set up further integration and automation between the tools
- A plus is experience with Kong API gateway
- Eager to learn new technologies and not afraid to learn and dive into new technology
