Within the Presales team of Eviden’s Digital Identity business unit—dedicated to digital identity, digital trust, and identity security solutions—the Pre-sales Engineer supports the development of offerings for large enterprise clients and institutions, both in France and internationally.
The role involves working on high value‑added projects related to PKI, certificates, secure cards, CMS/CLM solutions, electronic signatures, and trust services, in close collaboration with the Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
We are looking for a Digital Identity Presales Engineer (m/f) for our location in Zagreb to join our new team.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support sales activities: assist sales teams in needs qualification, value proposition development, proposal preparation, and participation in negotiations.
- Contribute to the design of solutions aligned with clients’ business, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Participate in the structuring and enhancement of Eviden’s Digital Identity offerings.
- Define Digital Identity solution architectures, including:
- PKI (Root CA, Issuing CA, RA, OCSP, CLM)
- Digital certificates and digital identities
- Smart cards / CardOS and card ecosystem
- CMS (Card Management System)
- Electronic signature, server seals, and strong authentication
- Integrate associated security components (HSM, KMS, IAM).
- Deliver product and platform demonstrations.
- Contribute to Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
- Support customer technical qualification phases.
- Respond to tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ):
- writing technical sections (eIDAS / RGS / ANSSI compliance, FIPS / Common Criteria),
- compliance matrices, cost estimates, project planning,
- and coordinating internal contributors (R&D, product, support, legal, finance).
- Act as the primary technical point of contact:
- gathering requirements,
- challenging use cases,
- facilitating workshops,
- and maintaining long‑term trusted relationships.
- Contribute to enablement activities:
- training internal teams (sales, partners),
- producing demo kits, FAQs, integration playbooks,
- and conducting technology and regulatory watch (eIDAS v2, NIS2, CAB Forum—certificate lifetime reduction, PQC).
- Capture customer needs and contribute to the evolution of Digital Identity offerings.
Required Profile:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in presales or an equivalent role (technical consulting, system integration) in PKI / identity, certificates, smart cards / tokens, HSM, and/or CMS / CLM.
- Higher education degree (engineering degree or equivalent) in electronics, embedded systems, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- Comfortable in a technical role with a strong business orientation.
- Rigor, autonomy, service and results orientation, excellent communication skills (technical ↔ business), teaching ability, strong analytical and synthesis skills, and confidence in customer presentations.
- Strong expertise in information security, ideally in PKI, smart cards, strong authentication, data encryption, or identity management (IDM / IAM).
- Solid understanding of customer functional needs (banking, insurance, public sector, etc.) and their constraints.
- Strong knowledge of complex security architectures for information systems.
- System knowledge (Linux, Unix, Windows); database knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent English language skills, French is a plus.

- Strong demo and PoC design skills, with the ability to explain solutions to non‑technical audiences.
- Initial exposure to post‑quantum cryptography (PQC).
- Experience in government, financial, or telecom environments.
