We are looking for a Technical Engineer with wide knowledge of Linux administration and German language proficiency to support infrastructure and applications, as well as incident and service request monitoring. You will work during defined service hours and participate in an on-call rotation outside of standard working hours, ensuring system stability and high availability.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Performing daily administrative and operational tasks related to applications and infrastructure in Linux-based environments
  • Handling incidents and service requests as part of 2nd line support
  • Monitoring applications, systems, and batch processes
  • Cooperating with other technical teams
  • Working in accordance with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
  • Creating, updating, and following operational documentation and procedures

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Documented hands-on experience in Linux administration (eg. Redhat)
  • Experience with or interest in application and infrastructure support in an operational role
  • Good communication skills in German (C1) and English

 

Nice to Have

  • Linux administration certification (eg. Redhat)
  • Experience in supporting the SIRON application
  • Experience with monitoring tools and system logs
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy)
  • Valid ITIL v4 certificate (or newer) is a plus
