We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background as a Software Architect, who will lead the design of end-to-end architectures for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. You will work closely with product owners, engineering teams, and platform specialists to shape modern cloud-native solutions built on Kubernetes and OpenShift ecosystems.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design and own end-to-end software architectures for scalable, secure, and highly available systems
- Define and evolve architecture patterns (microservices, modular monoliths, event-driven, API-first)
- Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions
- Lead architecture decisions covering front-end, back-end, integration, and platform layers
- Design cloud-native architectures and containerized workloads based on Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Ensure strong focus on non-functional requirements: scalability, availability, performance, security, and operability
- Design observability and operability by default (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Define and govern API contracts and integration standards
- Shape CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps-based delivery models
- Define automated testing strategies across the SDLC (unit, integration, E2E)
- Create and maintain architecture documentation and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across multiple streams
- Collaborate in agile environments with product owners and cross-functional teams
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with previous hands-on experience as a Software Architect
- Strong understanding of front-end, back-end, and integration architectures and how they work together
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture and containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Crossplane
- Experience with networking and service mesh technologies including Istio, Envoy, MetalLB, OVN-Kubernetes, and Open vSwitch
- Experience with observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Grafana Alloy
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and GitOps principles, CI/CD, and tools such as GitHub
- Experience with identity and security solutions such as Keycloak
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and distributed storage like Ceph
- Experience working with TypeScript (TS) and Go (GO)
- Strong understanding of automated testing strategies across the SDLC
- Experience working in agile environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and mentor engineering teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift AI
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation
- Knowledge of advanced cryptographic or data protection solutions such as Cosmian
- Experience designing hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Experience contributing to internal architecture standards and governance models
- Previous experience in regulated environments (finance, telecom, public sector)
