Role Overview

We’re looking for a Java Developer with strong DevOps skills and hands‑on experience running workloads on Red Hat OpenShift. You will build Java microservices, automate delivery pipelines, and help maintain reliable, secure, and observable cloud‑native platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java microservices (Spring Boot) integrating with databases, APIs, and Kafka/AMQ.
  • Containerize applications (Docker/S2I) and optimize images for performance and security.
  • Deploy and operate services on OpenShift (deployments, routes, services, config/secrets, operators).
  • Build CI/CD using Tekton and manage GitOps flows via Argo CD.
  • Implement observability: logs, metrics, alerts (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/EFK).
  • Automate tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Python, oc CLI, Helm/Kustomize.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices: image & dependency scanning (Trivy, Clair, Snyk), RBAC, secure coding.
  • Tune JVM and troubleshoot performance issues in containerized workloads.

 

Must‑Have Skills

  • Strong Java & Spring Boot experience.
  • Practical experience with OpenShift and containerization.
  • CI/CD knowledge (Tekton, Maven/Gradle, GitOps/Argo CD).
  • Familiarity with observability tools and cloud‑native troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and automation scripting.

 

Nice to Have

 

Java Certifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Java SE 11 or 17
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) – Java SE

Cloud‑Native & Container Certifications:

  • Red Hat OpenShift Developer (DO288)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280)
  • Kubernetes certifications: CKA / CKAD / CKS
