We are looking for an Intrexx  Application Engineer to support, maintain, and further develop business applications built on the Intrexx low‑code platform. This role is a maintenance-oriented developer position, combining application support with hands-on development, including change requests, bug fixing, and functional enhancements.

 

The position is well suited for a professional who is comfortable working in production environments, understands business-critical applications, and is able to implement changes directly within Intrexx using low-code and scripting technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2 application support for Intrexx-based business applications
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and problems
  • Perform bug fixing and root cause analysis in productive environments
  • Implement Change Requests and functional enhancements in existing applications
  • Participate in application development and extension using the Intrexx 12 platform
  • Support release, deployment, and change processes across environments (DEV / TEST / PROD)
  • Collaborate with service managers, architects, and infrastructure teams
  • Ensure application stability, performance, and SLA compliance
  • Maintain and update technical documentation related to implemented changes

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience with the Intrexx 12 platform (Portalmanager 12.0.x/12.1.x, application configuration, customization)
  • Development experience in a low‑code or application support context
  • Practical knowledge of JavaScript, Groovy, Velocity
  • Experience with application maintenance, change implementation, and bug fixing
  • Experience providing L2 support for business-critical applications
  • Understanding of web application architectures and production environments
  • Ability to work independently on analysis and implementation tasks
  • German language skills at minimum B2 level (required)
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ITIL / Application Management processes
  • Knowledge of Linux-based environments and application servers (Tomcat, NGINX)
  • Familiarity with container platforms (e.g. OpenShift)
  • Experience with integrations (Active Directory, REST APIs)
  • Experience working in public sector or enterprise environments
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
