We are seeking a 2nd Line Application Engineer with strong technical expertise in Oracle Database and related technologies to join our growing team. This role involves supporting critical applications, ensuring system stability, and providing in-depth troubleshooting for complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line support for business applications relying on Oracle Database.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and performance issues.
- Support database-related application deployments, configuration, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with 1st line support, development teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operation of production and non-production environments.
- Analyze root causes of recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
- Document incidents, procedures, and best practices to improve support efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience working with Oracle Database (administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting).
- Solid understanding of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience working on Linux environments.
- Familiarity with application support processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Good understanding of system monitoring and alerting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic or other middleware technologies.
- Exposure to automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
