Role: Data Engineer (Azure/Databricks)

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid – Twice in a week)

Fulltime with Eviden (Atos)

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

Azure certifications related to data & analytics. Experience with strong SQL and PL/SQL blocks. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, One Data Lake , Schedulers like Work Load Automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Spark SQL.

- Hands-on experience in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and transforming large datasets for SQL Server or other storage systems.

- Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning for large-scale data workloads.

- Work with job schedulers such as Workload Automation (WLA), Control-M, or Azure Automation to manage and optimize batch processes.

- Conduct performance tuning while collaborating with the Informatica team to compare test results and perform parallel testing for validation.

- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand complex data systems and deliver optimized solutions.

- Perform performance tuning and ensure high availability and scalability of data workflows.
