Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer - Infrastructure Automation to join our global Infrastructure Automation Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate core automation platforms responsible for managing infrastructure across 20+ data centers worldwide.

You will work on a Python‑based infrastructure management platform, developing distributed services and automation workflows that interact directly with real-world infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, and firmware. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong backend foundations, hands‑on experience with distributed systems, and the ability to operate across multiple layers of a cloud‑native, large‑scale platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and operate a Python‑based infrastructure automation platform acting as the central orchestration layer for infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Develop distributed backend services and APIs for provisioning and automation across compute, storage, networking, and firmware.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure automation workflows using Apache Airflow and Ansible.
  • Work within a distributed, event‑driven architecture leveraging asynchronous Pub/Sub communication.
  • Apply modern software architecture principles (DDD, Hexagonal / Onion Architecture) and write clean, maintainable code following SOLID principles.
  • Deploy and operate containerized services on Kubernetes (GCP) and manage cloud resources declaratively.
  • Ensure reliability, observability, and scalability of production systems using tools such as Prometheus.
  • Design and optimize data models and queries across MongoDB, SQL, and Redis to support automation workflows.
  • Build internal developer tooling and automation, including CI/CD, GitOps pipelines, and GitHub‑based workflows.
  • Contribute to AI‑powered operational tools, integrating AI workflows with infrastructure systems.
  • Work closely with real‑world data center infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and firmware processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
  • Experience building or contributing to distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles (DDD, clean / hexagonal architectures).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized services.
  • Experience designing and operating infrastructure automation workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, preferably MongoDB.
  • Experience working with production systems (observability, reliability, troubleshooting).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with Airflow, Ansible, Prometheus.
  • Experience with typed Python (mypy), Pydantic, FastAPI
  • Experience with GitOps and GitHub automation.
  • Exposure to BigQuery or large-scale analytics.
  • Background in AI / LLM systems (LangGraph, OpenAI, Google ADK).
  • Experience with global-scale infrastructure platforms.

Location: Bydgoszcz, Poland (hybrid working model)

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on a global infrastructure automation platform interacting with real-world systems
  • High level of ownership and impact on technical decisions
  • Modern engineering environment with strong focus on quality
  • Collaboration with experts in distributed systems, cloud, and AI
  • Continuous learning and cross-domain development opportunities.
