We are looking for a motivated Power BI Engineer to build and maintain Power BI dataflows and related data warehouse components. The role focuses on implementing efficient ETL patterns, applying query folding where appropriate, and developing reliable DAX and Power Query (M) solutions to support reporting and analytics.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dataflows and datasets to meet reporting requirements.
• Implement Power Query (M) transformations and DAX measures for data modeling and analysis.
• Use SQL and query folding techniques to push ETL work to source databases when beneficial.
• Support data warehouse structures and help load and transform data into analytical models.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data integration and performance issues; apply tuning and fixes.
• Implement incremental refreshes, data validation, and basic data quality checks.
• Collaborate with BI developers, analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into datasets.
• Document dataflows, transformations and operational procedures.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Practical experience with Power BI Fabric and Power BI dataflows.
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of query folding concepts.
• Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M) for transformations and measures.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL patterns.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing data and performance issues.
• Ability to work in a team, follow best practices, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
