We are currently looking for Mainframe Technical Expert.

As a Mainframe Technical Expert Online you will have the responsibility to deliver 3rd level technical support of mainframe online transaction systems and software.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Software lifecycle management: maintenance and replacement of software;

• Exploring new product features which can benefit the customer as well as Atos;

• Third line support in case of software errors;

• Assist customers in using the software products;

• Incident, change and problem handling;

• Configuration and customization;

• Setup of parameters;

• Setup of customer dependent parts (e.g. user administration, product calendar, authorization matrix);

• Documenting;

• Communication with customers and vendors;

• Participation/contribution to technical projects.

Required Skills and Experience:

• In depth knowledge and understanding of z/OS and related product software z/OS;

• In depth knowledge and understanding of CICS, MQ and IDMS;

• Programming knowledge of REXX and JCL;

• Knowledge of Cobol and/or Assembler is an advantage;

• University degree in Computer Science or related subject;

• More than 3 years’ of verifiable experience with mainframe operations and monitoring;

• At least 5-8 years’ of verifiable experience as IBM mainframe specialist (zSeries);

• Excellent command of English; Dutch is a plus;

• Ability to work well as a team member; 

• Methodical and disciplined approach to work; 

• Excellent analytical skills and problem solving capabilities; 

• Stress resistant in case of Major Incident- and/or emergency situations; 

• Good planning and organisational skills; 

• Very good communication abilities; 

• Ability to deal with multi-task issues; 

• Initiative and good learning abilities.
