Job Description:

  • Plan, coordinate, supervise all activities related to the design, development, implementation of the organization's application development and quality assurance function.
  • Manages multiple teams supporting different Cloud components or lines of businesses.
  • Directs and guides the staff, reviews different project requests, timeline and cost.
  • Develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and standards across the organization.
  • Primary responsibilities Manage a team of approximately 20 employees including both permanent and contractor staff in locations around the globe.
  • Drive the development, improvement, and evolution of Cloud Management component and sub-component services.
  • Make leadership decisions on strategic and tactical initiatives that have significant business impact by working closely with decision makers from other component teams.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in managing, monitoring and improving the application development lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on the definition and implementation of Application Development and QA policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance ensuring team members are adequately trained on the technology and processes required to deliver to the goals of the organization.
  • In addition, minimize the risk to support business applications by conducting proper cross-training for in-scope components and applications.



  • Bachelor degree in computer science or computer information systems or other degree with equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Application Development and QA practices including
  • 5+ years in supervisory or management positions
  • Extensive application development and QA experience with Cloud based platforms and services.
  • Strong personnel management and leadership skills, adept in identifying and managing to key behaviors.
  • Must be able to assess individual strengths and weaknesses and develop and implement plans to build required competencies and generate required behaviors.
  • Strong analytical focus, results-oriented and execution driven, with the ability to align application development with the generation of potential competitive business advantage.
  • Bottom-line oriented with the ability to push self and team for results, demonstrated success at managing resources to achieve goals.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to identify learning opportunities, improve current processes.
  • Effective communications and presentation delivery skills, especially to senior management on engineering and development strategies and standards; able to create and maintain cross-segment relationships and foster Collaboration, knowledge sharing and cooperation.
  • Ability to communicate new concepts, and drive change in process and behaviors.
  • Significant experience in vendor management, communication with vendor engineering and vendor product development
  • Reporting and metric production for processes and services including consumption, usage capacity, performance, efficiency and compliance to support strategic planning and decisions
  • Experience analyzing project scope and determining resources needs to meet business objectives
  • Strong project planning and management skills, and experience encompassing scope of work, time estimation, and resource assignment


Additional Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience
