Location: US

Shift: Generally Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm EST with variable shifts as required; rotational on call

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the technical administration, engineering, and support for Citrix delivered enterprise applications.

• Provides direct support for the planning, coordination, upgrade, enhancement and implementation of computer systems and infrastructure/application software.

• Ensures stable performance through performance monitoring and tuning.

• Participates in capacity planning, workload modeling, and prediction of resource needs, ensures timely system maintenance, participates in the planning and implementation of major software and hardware upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.

• Works independently or as a member of interdisciplinary teams on moderately complex projects.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; equivalent combination of education and work experience is acceptable. License/Certification

• Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V)

 

Experience:

• 6 – 10 years of practical experience in supporting Windows systems.

• 6 - 10 years of practical experience designing and architecting a Citrix XenApp environment in a Epic environment or EMR related environment.

• Strong knowledge in core Microsoft technologies and platforms: Windows Server 2008 R2/2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, Group policy, IIS, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server

• Strong knowledge of Citrix Provisioning server and Machine Creation Services.

• Experience deploying and operating a virtual desktop infrastructure.

• Expertise with a variety of server/systems monitoring, analysis, management, and configuration tools.

• Able to solve problems independently, quickly, and completely and communicate them clearly to upper management.

• Strong project management and interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, provide strong team leadership, and work effectively as a team player.

• Competent with mainstream office automation, project management, and communications tools.

• Demonstrated ability to work with PowerPoint and Visio for workflow architectural diagrams.

• Executes all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically 

• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification/Licensure: o Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) o Epic Client Systems Administrator Certification with 6-10 years experience

• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere or other Hypervisor platforms.

• Experience with F5 and/or Citrix Load Balancers.

• Experience with Epic Hyperspace, Web Blob, Printing, and Hyperspace Web.

• Healthcare sector experience.

• Experience supporting major healthcare application platforms
