Windows Client Support Engineer (German speaking)

 

You will operate and enhance a large enterprise Windows client environment, covering endpoint security, software distribution, patching, troubleshooting, and lifecycle operations. The role spans incident/request handling, server onboarding via IT Shop workflows, vulnerability remediation, and quality assurance—while collaborating closely with service desk and platform teams. Strong German is mandatory for direct end user support, documentation, and stakeholder communication. 
 
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
 
•    Ensure endpoint security and data protection by managing security settings, resolving client side protection issues, and supporting encryption and access safeguard mechanisms.
•    Maintain client networking and connectivity, including diagnosing and resolving issues that affect access to corporate resources or internet availability.
•    Oversee software distribution, updates, and troubleshooting for enterprise applications, ensuring smooth deployment and error free operation across client devices.
•    Execute the full client lifecycle management, including provisioning, configuration adjustments, system integrity checks, and device readiness for end users.
•    Manage access rights and remote-control capabilities, ensuring proper authorization and troubleshooting of access-related incidents.
•    Support server provisioning and virtualization workflows, including onboarding new systems, managing configuration requirements, and coordinating infrastructure-related requests.
•    Perform patch and update management for operating systems, applications, and browsers within defined maintenance windows and quality standards.
•    Handle ticketing, incident management, and workflow coordination, ensuring accurate triage, documentation, communication, and resolution within enterprise support processes.
•    Contribute to quality assurance, system compliance, and vulnerability remediation by evaluating findings, executing corrective measures, and ensuring system health and security.
•    Provide end-user support and communication, including remote or phone-based assistance, guiding users through technical issues, and ensuring a positive service experience.
•    Create new software packages for software distribution, including using Windows PowerShell.
 
 
Required Skills & Experience:
 
•    Enterprise Windows Client Administration – solid experience managing Windows endpoints, lifecycle operations, troubleshooting, and system configuration. (Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 11)
•    Endpoint Security Technologies – working knowledge of modern endpoint protection, disk encryption, firewall management, and security policy enforcement.
•    Software Deployment & Patching – experience with enterprise software distribution tools, update/patch rollout workflows, and browser/OS maintenance.
•    Directory Services (AD) – user & device administration, group structures
•    Networking Fundamentals – understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPN/proxy configurations, certificates, and client side connectivity troubleshooting.
•    Remote Access & Permissions – managing remote support protocols, access rights, and secure privilege elevation processes.
•    Scripting & Automation (Windows PowerShell) – ability to automate tasks, gather logs, and support diagnostics or deployment activities.
•    Strong German Language Skills (C1+) – essential for communication with users, stakeholders, and for accurate ticket/documentation handling; English beneficial.
