We are seeking a highly experienced SAP MDG Architect to lead the design, implementation and enhancement of enterprise Master Data Governance solutions, with a strong focus on SAP MDG-M (Material Master) and integration with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into scalable SAP MDG solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Material Master governance processes, data quality management, workflow design, system integration and cross-functional collaboration in global environments.
The SAP MDG Architect will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identifying, interpreting, validating and documenting customer requirements
• Facilitating workshops to gather business and technical requirements and workshops for solution validation
• Providing functional and technical expertise for the planning, design, implementation and testing of functional and technical features for SAP Material Master in the product/system/solution business in relation to MDG-M and related applications such as PLM (Teamcenter & Oracle Agile) with complex bill of materials structures, including external supplier catalogues
• Preparation and review of cost estimates for customer requirements in connection with RFPs and RFQs for new implementations and enhancements
• Development of solution concepts based on standard MM and MDG functionalities such as central governance, consolidation and mass processing, data quality management, as well as various customer-specific enhancements (complex material maintenance workflows with interfaces to PLM, various UI customizations, data model extensions, multiple validations and derivations)
• Planning and executing solution implementation in parallel (dependencies)
• Planning and monitoring development, configuration, integration, testing and data migration across various global support teams
• Creating documentation in accordance with the relevant methods and tools (Jira or Solution Manager)
• Developing templates for the client’s decision-makers at team lead level, as well as delivering client/user presentations and workshops in English and German within your area of responsibility
• Building expertise in innovative business or technological topics, as well as actively contributing to Atos’s internal knowledge management
• Proactively identifying business opportunities within the current project and providing technical input for related sales activities
• Acting as a link between the business functions and the technical team
• Providing ad hoc training and user support as required
• Working independently and on your own initiative

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP MDG implementations, including architecture responsibilities.
- Proven expertise in SAP MDG-M (Material Master Governance).
- Experience working in large-scale, international SAP transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance principles.
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Professional German language skills are highly preferred.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, presentations, and stakeholder discussions in an international environment.
