DevOps Lead Senior Engineer

Responsibilities:

• SME for microservices-based applications responsible for designing and implementing microservices-based solutions.
• Collaborating with cybersecurity experts to adapt functional needs to microservice-based solutions.
• Analyzing technological environment.
• Creating solutions prototype.
• Communicate and consult with stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions.
• Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems.
• Design and build function-centric solutions in the context of transition from traditional, legacy platforms to microservices architectures, micro front-end services
• Define and refactor multi-channel client architecture offering and providing differentiated end-user experiences by leveraging containerization and cloud technology
• Outline the governance and microservices development guiding principles as well as ensure the best practices are followed by the development team
• Govern DevOps methodologies, and ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
• Participate in coordinated planning sessions and provide effort estimates for business initiatives of IT solutions
• Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.

Skills and requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science and 5+ years of technical experience in architecture development, integration of backend systems, and development. Hands-on experience incorporating, open-source applications into microservices-based environments
• Deep knowledge of SOA, Architecture, and Design on Microservices, REST/API based Services Development
• Experience with containerization and cloud technologies (eg. Kubernetes, Dockers, AWS) as well as DevOps and testing tools
• Experience with cloud-based, CD/CI, or DevOps development environment
• Experience with data-lake technology stacks such as ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, and other auxiliary technologies such as Fluentd
• Experience with ID/PS technologies such as Suricata, Snort, Wazuh is considered a plus
• A strong hands-on development track record building integration and applications utilizing a variety of technologies, development tools, and database systems.
• Good experience in Agile methodology.
• Good programming skills with languages such as Python, Java
• Good interpersonal skills both in writing and verbally with the ability to convey complex ideas or technical solutions to business and/or management team
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation, and testing of programs
• Communication skills to work effectively with Scrum team members, support personnel, and clients
• Ability to work independently as a leader and as part of a team
