Data Engineer

 

       What are your tasks:

 

  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and enhancing OOP Python based Data engineering prescriptive analytics solution, running in Azure environment.

  • Integrating the end-to-end data pipeline to take data from source systems to target data repositories ensuring the quality and consistency of data is always maintained

  • Evaluating the performance and applicability of multiple tools against customer requirements

 

What do you bring with you:

 

  • Proficient in Python OOP (strong experience with Python for data engineering apps).

  • Hands on experience designing and delivering solutions using Azure.

  • Direct experience of building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Apache Spark (preferably in Databricks).

  • Experience with data ingestion/ETL (ADF or other ETL orchestration engines).

  • Programming experience in Scala or Python

  • Proven experience working as a data engineer

  • Highly proficient in using the spark framework (python and/or Scala)

 

       It’s a plus but not mandatory:

 

  • SQL (any dialect).

  • Data science knowledge and experience.

  • Knowledge in CI/CD (Azure DevOps)

  • Drive, proactive, self-motivated and willing to learn.

  • Enjoy working in a team to solve complex issues.

  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
