AWS Strategic Consultant Min. Education & Experience in ICT: 12 years Min Experience in Consulting: 4 years Any AWS Professional certification and 2 AWS Specialties at least.

 

The Senior Cloud Architect promotes Cloudreach services by providing thought leadership internally and externally while enabling innovation using public cloud.

 

Skills & Competencies

 

  • Technical Leadership - Provides overall technical leadership and direction on project engagements for up to 6 individuals. Identifies technical opportunities outside the immediate area of project responsibility.
  • Has experience in successfully implementing multiple enterprise solutions in the cloud using a vast range of cloud technologies and appropriate cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud).
  • Stakeholder Management - Guides and influences technical and commercial Director/VP stakeholder relationships.
  • Non-technical - Adept at strategic planning with understanding how to identify business needs, problems, and risks.
  • Optionally responsible for the technical mentorship and guidance of a team of up to 5 people, keeping members accountable for action items on IDP, owning initiatives (May be externally called "Tech Lead")

 

 

Knowledge

 

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the ICT industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Consultant in Cloud technology Masters degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Certifications - At least 1 pro level cert in AWS and 1 (where feasible) in another platform and 2 AWS Specialty certifications
  • *Can be hired w/o a cert but need to attain within their probation period
  • Coding - Proficiency with most provider specific services and experience architecting and implementing in at least 5 CA Specialisms.
  • Deep expertise in at least 1 CA specialism.

 

  • Communication - Actively participates in and occasionally leads Cloudreach internal technical education sessions/events.
  • Education - Delivers upskilling training sessions.
  • Knowledge Management - Develops new knowledge-base content and/or reusable assets or best practice materials.
  • Marketing - Lead an external facing activity: 1 blog post or attending 1 event (examples being partner, meetup or conference) every 6 months
  • Subject Matter Expertise - Provides advice and guidance within the expert community via available channels.
  • Influencing & Advising - Enterprise-level Director/VP technical persona advisory
  • Mentoring - Acts as a role model for other team members. Provides informal 1-2-1 technical mentoring and guidance to other team members.
