We are looking for highly skilled and intellectually curious people, passionate about technology, to join us at Eviden an Atos business - OneCloud Microsoft Azure practice, as an Azure Cloud Operations Engineer.
Your main goal is to ensure the continuous operation of our cloud solutions, services and applications.
In your role, you will handle various aspects from areas such as Ops, FinOps, SecOps considering security, availability, performance, efficiency, change management, cost control, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning for native Microsoft Azure IAAS, PAAS services.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure Azure resources: Set up and configure Azure IAAS and PAAS resources and services to support our customers and organization’s applications and workloads.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure: Ensure the availability, performance, and security of Azure resources.
- Ensure data security and compliance: Implement and maintain security measures, including identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations (ISO 27001, Azure CIS 1.3.0 and above)
- Troubleshooting and problem solving: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure services, infrastructure, and connectivity problems.
- Optimize performance and cost-efficiency: Continuously monitor and analyze Azure resource usage, identify optimization opportunities, and implement performance improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Responsible for mentoring others, providing guidance and support to help junior team members grow and develop.
- Working framework based on Change, Incident, Problem management RCA (root cause analysis) processes.
- Availability to provide 24/7 support during on ‘call shifts.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure Cloud Services IAAS, PAAS.
- Good understanding of Azure and Hub and Spoke landing zone infrastructures.
- Knowledge of Networking principles and infrastructure connectivity, VPN Gateways, VNET’s, NSG’s and Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall.
- Understanding and knowledge of cloud Security principles and best practices, Identity and Access Management, Azure Active Directory (MS Entra), Azure Security Centre, Azure Policies, Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Be creative and resourceful, ability to assess, and research information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and end-users alongside working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset, continuous learning, customer oriented and self-motivated mindset.
Technical competencies nice to have:
- Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
- Linux, Windows Operating system management
- Automate the configuration of VMs with tools that include Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Azure Resource Manager template
- Infrastructure management automation IAC, Terraform, Bicep
- Automate application deployment and delivery Azure DevOps Services and Jenkins.
- Serverless computing Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Container Registry
- Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL and similar from the Azure Database service suite.
- Experience in project migrations from on-premises to Azure Cloud.
- Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and other collaboration tools.
