Accounting Specialist 

Job in a nutshell:
We are searching for a passionate Accountant Specialist, within Atos Romania Finance Department, working on specific accounting, controlling, tax and treasury projects and in close cooperation with business responsible to advise on a wide variety of finance topics; reports to the country Head of Finance&Accounting and is focused on adding value to local business and Atos Group.

What will you be doing:
•    Contribute to the management of ledgers, postings and provisions, maintain accounting books and records in accordance with the Romanian Accounting Standards, Fiscal Code, IFRS and Atos Group policies; 
•    Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial statements and reports for the company according to the deadlines, following the accounting standards and regulations, support the month-end closing and year-end closing.
•    Preparing internal control reports to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and to mitigate financial risks, identifying discrepancies and proposing solutions for adjustment.
•    Develop and document business process and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal and external controls.
•    Prepare and coordinate consolidated cash flow view at region level for Group;
•    Prepare monthly/quarterly or annual financial reporting and management reports for one or more business departments according to statutory regulations and corporate accounting policies;  
•    Checks if the accounting documents related to his/her area of responsibility are according to the law, internal procedures and solves the inconsistencies.      
•    Process Accounts Payable documents, prepare reports related to Accounts Payable, process payments and follow up the overdue situation.
•    Process employees claims and advances, which includes checking and verification of these payment requests against supporting documents;
•    Conduct data entry of accounting entries into the system and ensure data integrity, perform reconciliation of intercompany/related party accounts according to an agreed schedule and posting of any adjustments in the system to resolve the discrepancies where necessary.
•    Communicate with auditors, tax and other government authorities; 
•    Finance governance – monitor the accurate application of appropriate Finance policies, highlight any operational risk occurring from business events and anticipate the risks; 
•    Assist to the implementation and deployment of new processes, systems and standards. 
 
Requirements:
•    Experience required (3-5 years) in an Accounting or Controlling role;  
•    Experience in a Treasury department would be a plus; 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics;
•    Good knowledge of National Financial Reporting Standards, IFRS and tax regulations; 
•    Ability to absorb new accounting, commercial and business concepts quickly, and work with them; 
•    Demonstrate a responsible, disciplined and analytical approach, even under pressure; 
•    Good inter-personal skills and ability to handle tasks on their own or with minimum supervision, ability to work in a team; 
•    Good conversational level in English; 
•    Proficient with Excel.
•    Knowledge of Power Query or Power BI would be a plus.
