TITLE:              Senior Cloud System Developer (Job Ref#: SCSD5)

DUTIES: Serve as technical lead for small/medium complexity projects or workstream on large complexity project. Deliver technical solutions using cutting edge technologies and industry best practices to implement cloud platforms for customers. Promote the use of automation to solve technical challenges, and strive to create elegant, reliable, performant and cost-effective solutions as part of the project deliverables. Push back bad code and enhance and optimize codes with explanation to more junior colleagues. Practice best coding practices. Focus on the automated deployment and configuration of infrastructure and the tools used to build that infrastructure.

SALARY:                   $[150,000 - $177,000] / year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours / week (from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

LOCATION:              222 West Adams Street, 27th Floor, Chicago, IL 60606.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in any role/occupation/position in software engineering, DevOps engineering, data engineering or database administration. Experience must include: delivering multiple projects of various types with at least 2 customers or environments; implementing enterprise solutions in the cloud using a cloud technologies and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or AliCloud); working within CI/CD and Testing Frameworks; designing or building network solutions for customers; working in at least one CSD domain; working with at least 1 cloud-native services (compute instances, storage solutions, networking, databases, or serverless computing); applying knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager); containerization technologies (Docker or similar) and orchestration (Kubernetes or similar); utilizing scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and infrastructure management tasks; and applying knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security. Telecommuting is permitted from any U.S. location.
