Shift schedule: Dayshift

Work set-up: 3x onsite, 2x WFH

Responsibilities:

• Performs periodic backups and perform restore procedures if needed or requested.
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Perform SQL Server installation, upgrade, patches and troubleshooting.
• Develop maintenance plan for SQL Servers and Application Servers.
• Takes immediate actions when database and applications performance issues arise.
• Execute database and application implementations.
• Maintain documentation procedure and standards.
• Attend to team, client and vendors meetings to discuss plans, growth, changes and issues.
• Respond to Level 1 and Level 2 Support team concerns / questions.
• Participate in off-hour on-call list.
• Perform weekend duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Database Administration (MSSQL) – 9+ years
• Users and groups access management
• Backup and restoration
• Disaster recovery (Replication, Always On Availability Groups, Windows Server Failover Cluster)
• Performance tuning and optimization
• Data migration (On-prem to Cloud Azure)
• Provisioning and decommissioning databases and instances
• Patching and upgrade (side by side and in-place)
• Azure SQL database, Managed Instance (PaaS) and SQL Server on VM (IaaS)
• Transact-SQL
