We are seeking an experienced and motivated DevOps Team Leader to oversee and guide our DevOps team in building and maintaining a robust infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on approach, including actively participating in designing Jenkins pipelines, deploying Kubernetes clusters, managing containers and pods, scripting for automation tasks, and troubleshooting issues. As a Team Leader, you will balance technical contributions with mentoring and inspiring your team to follow DevOps best practices, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain Jenkins pipelines to automate CI/CD processes, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Kubernetes Deployment: Oversee the installation, deployment, and management of Kubernetes clusters, including containers, pods, and deployments.
- Infrastructure Management: Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of both Windows and Linux environments.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., in Python or other languages) to automate infrastructure and operational tasks.
- Networking Expertise: Implement and manage networking solutions, ensuring secure and efficient communication between services.
- Debugging & Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and networking issues efficiently.
- Leadership & Team Management: Mentor and guide the DevOps team, fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and best practices in DevOps.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions to ensure system health, performance, and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years in DevOps or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, including hands-on contributions.
- Jenkins Expertise: Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.
- Kubernetes Skills: Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, including creating and troubleshooting pods, deployments, and services.
- Windows and Linux: Practical experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux environments.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages, with hands-on experience automating operational tasks.
- Networking: Strong understanding of networking principles, including DNS, load balancing, and firewall configuration, with experience in hands-on troubleshooting.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
- CI/CD Practices: Hands-on experience implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
- Debugging: Strong hands-on troubleshooting and debugging skills across systems and environments.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with technical teams while contributing technically to projects.
Preferred Skills (Advantageous but not Required)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with security best practices for infrastructure and deployments.
