For our Global Business Services Center (GBSC), located in TSUM Business Center, we are looking for Senior Legal Counsel with German.

Senior legal counsels are the top attorneys in an organisation. They are responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to business, from completing routine formalities to advising management on important transactions and other key decisions. A legal counsel is a professional who ensures their business is compliant with the law. They advise and oversee all applicable aspects and make sure their business follows due processes in every possible way.

Job responsibilities:

• Independent handling of legal issues of all kinds in connection with the production and sale of software and hardware, including data protection and data security.
• Independent preparation, review and negotiation of national and international contracts.
• Independent legal support and management of complex IT projects.
• Supporting sales and purchasing as well as the key specialist departments on legal issues.
• Independent management of both extrajudicial and judicial disputes.
• Advising the management in all legal matters.
• Drawing up and updating internal guidelines, standard contracts and other sample texts.
• Advising the managing directors of the group companies and the specialist departments on all corporate law issues (limited liability company law, stock corporation law, commercial partnerships law).
• Independent analysis of the legal and regulatory framework in Germany.              

Job requirements:

• Fully qualified lawyer or commercial lawyer with at least four years of relevant professional experience.
• In-depth practical knowledge of IT law (software contract law, data protection and data security, commercial civil law, copyright law, corporate law).
• Education of law in Germany will be considered advantageous.
• Knowledge of public procurement law.
• Practical skills in legal support and management of complex and international IT projects.
• Excellent communication skills, negotiator with strong tactics.
• Ability to prepare complex issues in an understandable way for the management.
• High resilience and willingness to perform.
• Ability to work under time pressure and prioritise.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent in German and English (business fluent).
• High personal integrity.
• Excellent teamwork, solution-oriented and proactive approach.
• Work experience in a strongly international environment.
