Job Summary

 

 

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will lead the supervision of accounting and transversal finance processes for a defined perimeter of Global Structures legal entities (including the “International Entities” outside France). You will drive the interface between Accounting and Controlling to enhance closing discipline, quality, and standards. You will own Internal Control and internal audits for Global Structures, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the closing and reporting cycle.

 

Your scope includes full coordination with Group Accounting, Group Controlling, Consolidation, Treasury, Tax, HR, Legal, Procurement, and Shared Services. The role will have IFRS primary reporting and local GAAP/statutory coordination with local finance and external providers.

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

Entity Accounting Supervision

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and monthly/quarterly/annual close for the assigned legal entities.
  • Ensure IFRS compliance for Group reporting and coordination of local GAAP for statutory accounts.
  • Monitor balance sheet integrity (fixed assets, accruals/provisions, payroll, intercompany, equity movements).
  • Review and approve manual journal entries, BS reconciliations, and intercompany confirmations.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and manage relationships with external auditors/providers.

 

Transversal Process: Accounting ↔ Controlling

  • Lead the bridge between accounting and controlling to ensure P&L/BS accuracy, correct cut-off, and consistency between operational performance and booked results.
  • Standardize and improve internal processes, closing checklists, review templates, and variance analysis practices.

 

Closing Excellence & Group Reporting

  • Guarantee on-time close and submission quality to Consolidation (IFRS).
  • Reduce late adjustments, post-close corrections, and materiality breaches.
  • Implement reconciliation discipline, and resolution of open items.

 

Intercompany & Transversal Transactions

  • Own intercompany governance for the scope: correct P&L/BS reflection, mismatch resolution, timely confirmations.
  • Coordinate cross-border flows
  • Partner with Tax on transfer pricing operationalization and documentation (as needed).

 

Internal Control & Audits (Global Structures Scope)

  • Own the Internal Control Framework for Global Structures; maintain and strengthen controls.
  • Lead internal audit preparation and drive remediation plans through to closure.
  • Monitor and report control effectiveness.

 

Continuous Improvement & Finance Transformation

  • Identify and execute process standardization, automation, and simplification opportunities across close/reporting.
  • Contribute to ERP/process enhancements (e.g., consolidation tools for the scope, AI initiatives).
  • Reduce manual journals, spreadsheet dependencies, and rework.

 

Job Requirements

 

    • Bachelor's or Master in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified 
    • Proficient French and English language skills 
    • Strong IFRS background; statutory coordination desirable.
    • Proven track record in month-end close, internal control, and audit management.
    • Experience with intercompany frameworks and cross-border finance processes.
    • Excellent business orientation, with understanding of key drivers, issues, constraints etc of the business
    • Ability to understand and deal with complex issues and ambiguity, and implement practical and innovative solutions to problems
    • Strong technical accounting and analytical rigor; problem-solving mindset.
    • Ability to standardize processes and drive adoption across multiple entities.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication in a matrixed organization.
    • Pro-active behaviors that demonstrate initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to the required time, budget and quality
