Job Summary
The risk manager is anticipating, mitigating, and managing bid, contract and operations risks in every phase of the contract lifecycle, being focused on early detection and being ready to intervene. This is avoiding and minimizing slippages and/or failures in contract execution and delivery, in order to protect the business objectives, notably its profitability.
You will report to the RBU leadership and the global risk management organization and act as a proactive advisor to the local management and where appropriate to the Atos Group. You will engage with local Industry/divisional risk management teams, and will lead and orchestrate the risk management activities, as required for the RBU.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate business, bid, and contract risks across the RBU, intervening and escalating where risk exposure is insufficiently addressed.
- Act as an independent risk authority, challenging bid and contract assumptions, risks, and mitigations to support objective, margin-protecting decisions.
- Define, deploy, and govern risk management frameworks and processes in alignment with Group policies, ensuring consistent application and accountability across the organization.
- Monitor and report on contract performance and risk exposure, providing management with clear visibility, early warnings, and actionable insights.
- Ensure effective risk ownership and controls, including measurement of risks, adherence to risk limits, and proper operation of escalation and reporting mechanisms.
- Drive continuous improvement of risk management practices, identifying common risk patterns, root causes, and implementing lessons learned and mitigation techniques.
- Enable and coach teams on risk and contract management, promoting best practices, process adherence, and a strong risk-aware culture.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance, Risk management or relevant experience
- 3–5+ years’ experience in contract, commercial, risk, vendor management or finance
- German and English language at proficiency level (C1 level)
- Understanding of P&L and BS impact, revenue recognition triggers, pricing models (fixed fee, T&M, outcomebased), indexation, FX, rebates, and incentives.
- Experience with portfolio reporting such as exposure heatmaps, top risks, renewal/evergreen traps, obligation compliance, and audit readiness.
- Strong knowledge of liability, indemnity, warranty, IP, termination, SLA, credits clauses with proven negotiation.
- Excellent stakeholder management with clear written and oral communication.
- Solid Excel and BI for KRI dashboards and SAP knowledge
