The Payroll Expert is responsible for collecting payroll information, calculating the working hours, and keeping the personnel files up-to-date following the Bulgarian legislation. They maintain close communication with an external vendor supporting the payroll processes and provide the necessary information within the specified time frames.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintaining payroll information by collecting and entering data into the PY vehicles. Some cases may require calculations that always will be duly documented. 
  • Maintaining employee confidentiality and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential. 
  • Providing the management with information reports as per the agreed schedule and upon request.
  • Interacting with internal customers via telephone, e-mail, and chat, assisting with problem-solving. 
  • Working with departmental staff to promote, develop, and maintain strong customer service values. 
  • Preparing and retaining documentation related to employment contracts, additional agreements, promotions and reassignments, and other documentation related to employment relations. 

  • Assisting the employees with the issuance of official work certificates, references, etc., related to the employment relations between the employees and the employer, if needed. 

  • Answering employees’ questions on topics related to their employment relations with the employer. 

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Higher education in one of these specialties – Human Resources; Psychology; Law. 
  • Fluency in Business English both verbal and written.

  • At least 1 year working experience with payroll operations and Bulgarian legislation.

  • Relevant working experience which involves excellent communication skills, maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information, etc.

  • Technical competencies – MS Office Pack, Success Factors modules / Employee Central – strong advantage.

  • Taking ownership and following through on team decisions and actions. 

  • Adaptivity to changing circumstances and new information that impacts goals and plans. 

  • A positive approach to dealing with change.
