Technical Architect (ServiceNow)

About the Role

As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing end-to-end ServiceNow solution architectures. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing platform solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and own scalable, distributed architectures across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Define and govern the overall ServiceNow solution architecture
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Lead architecture implementation, managing risks, governance, and best practices
  • Develop solution plans, including effort estimates and delivery strategies
  • Support solution design, development, testing strategies, PoCs, and migrations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with governance and compliance standards
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and recommend design improvements
  • Create and maintain reference architectures, domain models, and design patterns
  • Identify emerging technologies to drive business value and innovation
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including application and technology rationalization

 

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field

Experience

  • 8–10+ years of IT experience with a focus on solution architecture and application design
  • Minimum 5+ years of ServiceNow experience (architecture and solution design)

Core Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) processes, metrics, and KPIs
  • Experience delivering solutions to complex business challenges
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript/AJAX
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using:
    • REST / SOAP APIs
    • SFTP
    • MID Server
  • Familiarity with enterprise technologies:
    • LDAP
    • SSO
    • SSL and security frameworks
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, high-performance teams

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with 3 or more ServiceNow modules, such as:

  • Customer Service Management (CSM)
  • Enterprise Architecture (EA / APM)
  • Field Service Management (FSM)
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
  • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
  • Business Continuity Management (BCM)

 

Skills

  • A strong customer-facing architect with consultative skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
  • A proactive mindset with focus on innovation and continuous improvement
