Where purpose meets career:
The Supplier Release Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the Release and Deployment activities are performed according to the agreed and documented process within their own organization. This role is often handled by the Supplier Release Manager. The Supplier Release Coordinator performs the following tasks:
- Expert Coordination Across Teams: Skilled in leading cross-functional teams through the entire release lifecycle - ensuring smooth collaboration between development, testing, and deployment groups.
- Strategic Release Planning and Execution: Experienced in organizing and prioritizing release requirements, planning based on forecasted changes, and implementing corrective actions to maintain timelines and service quality.
- Continuous Improvement and Communication: Proactive in conducting post-implementation reviews, managing stakeholder communication plans, and driving process enhancements for future releases.
Skills we can’t do without:
- Release & Deployment Management: Deep understanding of release and deployment processes, including planning, implementation, and post-release review.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze release risks, develop and test back-out plans, and decide on corrective actions as needed
- Presentation Skills: Strong reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ability to develop, manage, and maintain release documentation, schedules, and post-implementation reports. Strong attention to detail in documentation throughout the release lifecycle.
