About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager with strong Transition and Pre‑Sales experience to initiate, plan and lead projects that deliver to time, cost and quality. In this role, you will be accountable for shaping clear delivery plans, assigning and coordinating project resources, monitoring budgets, managing risks, and keeping stakeholders fully informed throughout the project lifecycle.
You will also play an important role in the pre‑sales process, working closely with the Pre‑Sales Programme Manager, bid solution leads and delivery leads to design transition solutions that are robust, scalable and customer‑focused. This involves translating our Project and Programme Management methodology into high‑quality bid responses, contributing to proposal development, and presenting PPM solutions to bid teams, sales stakeholders and potential clients.
This is a role that blends structured project delivery with solution‑oriented pre‑sales expertise, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping programmes from early design through to successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver end‑to‑end transition programmes, from small, discrete transitions to large, complex, multi‑workstream programmes, ensuring safe, compliant and controlled delivery.

Own and manage Transition Plans, including mobilisation, knowledge transfer, exit, and go‑live readiness, ensuring all activities support an operationally safe service transfer.

Establish and drive programme governance (RAID management, working groups, boards, reporting, stage gates) and track progress against dependencies, milestones and deliverables.

Coordinate effectively across customers, incumbent suppliers, internal delivery teams and third parties to ensure alignment, collaboration and timely issue resolution.

Produce high‑quality bid responses and develop Transition Programme Plans for pre‑sales activities, including costing transition budgets and presenting transition approaches during bid presentations.
Skills We Can’t Do Without

Strong experience delivering complex Transition Programmes, with a deep understanding of the end‑to‑end transition lifecycle.

Excellent written communication and bid‑writing skills, with the ability to translate methodology and solutions into clear, compelling responses.

Proven ability to establish and operate robust RAID management and governance structures.

Experience leading multiple workstreams and managing diverse stakeholder groups.

Ability to develop, own and manage integrated transition plans and costed transition budgets.
Skills We’d Like

Experience presenting Transition Plans and approaches in customer‑facing bid presentations.

Background in coordinating transitions involving multiple suppliers or complex environments.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
Location: UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required.
