Reporting to the Head of Tooling and Automation (T&A) UK&I, this role will provide thought leadership and design / implementation expertise related to the use and exploitation of AI and Generative AI technologies in the automation of business & service activities within HC&I.
Tasks
- Within HC&I and within the HC&I Automation team act as the primary interface on all Generative AI issues and opportunities and act as the Generative AI Authority within the Tooling & Automation team.
- Develop and maintain an AI & Gen-AI Automation strategy/roadmap for HC&I – Gain stakeholder agreement for the strategy and manage the necessary process to convert that strategy into active implementation plans, ensuring that all potential products/solution are suitably evaluated for use within Atos and that comply with all required Generative AI and Security Guidelines.
- Maintain strong relationships and alignment with Global GenAI and Automation teams to ensure maximum collaboration and sharing of innovations.
- Develop an understanding of each sub practise and the many activities they undertake, . Collaborate, and where necessary negotiate with senior managers in relation to the outcomes of the implementation of automation use cases.
- Design, develop and deploy Atos GenAI Platform instances within UK customer environments such that relevant use cases can be exploited.
- Manage, coordinate and support the development and implementation of Automation use cases with particular focus on use cases which involve the use of AI or Generative AI technologies of solutions.
- Maintain a detailed awareness of product development s within the Generative AI an AI Marketplace and actively consider how those developments could be exploited within Atos and Atos HC&I in a commercially viable manner.
- Experiment with and evaluate emerging GenAI technologies and products to determine whether they could benefit HC&I Automation ambitions / plans
- Represent HC&I within the Atos Generative AI Yammer community and maintain an active awareness / understanding of all uses, case, pilots and development taking place within the wider Atos organisation. Intercept any initiatives which could be of benefit within HC&I and propose target use cases to the Head of UK Tooling and Automation and any other senior stakeholders as required.
- Provide Architectural design for required automation solutions which specific focus on your area of specialist knowledge.
- Provide pre-sales support on new business deals identifying opportunities to utilise automation or AI facilitated automation which creates added value within the sales opportunities and/or facilitates a reduction in operational delivery costs during the life of the contract. Promote the use / consideration with the Pre-Sales and Sales community.
- Utilise mechanisms such as internal social media (e.g. yammer), virtual team meetings, webinars, training and development sessions to build & maintain an active HC&I community of Management & Engineering staff who are interested in Generative AI and wish to get involved in ideas generation and/or use case development. Utilise this community to promote the use and benefits of generative AI within HC&I.
- Actively contribute to the development of a HC&I Automation Strategy and provide thought leadership
- Maintain an awareness of Atos GenAI Portfolio offerings as they are developed and evolve
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience and track record of managing the development and delivery of automation solutions.
- Significant industry knowledge of developments within the areas of Automation, AI and GenAi Technologies and understanding of how those developments could be used to create commercial benefit.
- Excellent understanding of Ai and GenAI technologies and the design principles and concepts which underpin those solutions. Specific knowledge of the ‘art of the possible’ with GenAI
- Good commercial and business knowledge with a solid appreciation of the automation enabled cost reduction levers within IT service delivery
- Ability to think laterally and plan strategically with demonstrable evidence of previous service and technology strategy development
- Experience of developing technology and service roadmaps in a formal environment
- Understanding of how technology, process, tools and people combine together to provide effective customer focused solutions
- Ability to take and end-to-end service and commercial view of any proposed technology investment
- Industry knowledge and awareness of latest industry trends and direction
- Solid understanding of project management methods, principles, techniques and tools;
- Understands and has demonstrated the use of methods and techniques for the assessment and management of risk;
- In-depth knowledge of the Atos organisation and all Atos Service Offerings related to Automation, Ai and GenAi
- Proficient in Microsoft Word,Microsoft Office
- Visio;
- Ability to engage with and positively influence senior stakeholders within the business
- Ability to deal effectively and objectively with difficult situations referring upwards where necessary;
Desirable:
- Understanding of TOGAF methodologies
- Programming skills, particularly in Python, JavaScript, SQL and APIs
- Degree educated or equivalent (NVQ Level 6-7);
