The Lead Buyer is responsible for bringing  to his/her entity a step change in savings/value (e.g., quality, service, total vendor value) of a minimum 6% ongoing annual savings improvement or value contribution by working together with the Category Managers and Global Lead Buyers and his/her entity’s operations for Global actions and by realizing local based actions.

He/she helps users in the writing of specifications, runs tenders, negotiates, formalizes contracts, monitors supplier performance, drives continuous improvement and innovation of the suppliers, and measures internal customer satisfaction. The internal customers should be kept satisfied in terms of: cost, quality, lead-times and service level of suppliers. He/She drives simplification of processes, for instance, through annual or multi-year contracts and reduction of the number of suppliers.

He/She is curious about best practices in place in other parts of his/her entity or other companies. Furthermore, he/she will support, participate and potentially lead cross-GBUs / cross-category initiatives to capture maximum of savings or value for the Group.

To achieve the goals stated above, the Lead Buyer will:

  1. Together with the Category Managers, Lead Buyers and the his/her entity key stakeholders, identify, integrate and realize global and local actions
  2. Ensure integration of purchasing activities with other functions and operations in his/her entity
  3. Contribute to the Global purchasing network by participating in or leading purchasing teams and actions. Share and integrate best practises.
  4. Define local purchasing strategies and actions plans and ensure compliance to achieve TCO savings and value creation inside his/her entity
  5. Act as a Procurement Solution Responsible within the Country responsible for and provide end to end Procurement support to the Bids and provide involvement at an early stage.
  6. Prioritise and pro-actively manage own workload with minimal supervise
  7. Build positive working relationships inside and outside the department.
  8. Implement Group Procurement Policy in the countries and Regular and Closely Monitor P2P compliancy by the KPI’s.

Requirements:

  • At least 5-6 years’ experience in similar Procurement environment is required with a focus on IT Hardware, Software and Services ( Real Estate, FM, PS Procurement)  with some flavour of engaging multi-country Logistics and Supply Chain Processes
  •  Experienced on BtP with Good knowledge of procurement process and tools
  •  Experienced on Contract drafting with strong negotiation skills in ENG and FR Lang..
  • Experienced on Demand management.
  • Experienced on supporting Pre-sales Bids.
  • Advanced level of French and  English languages are mandatory.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
