Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex SAP Datasphere data models aligned with SAP Business Data Cloud architecture
- Build and validate semantic-rich analytical models for reporting, analytics, and downstream consumption
- Analyze, validate, and troubleshoot:
- Associations and joins
- Text and language-based relationships
- Semantic and analytical behavior in Datasphere
- Review technical artifacts to ensure consistency between:
- Design-time definitions (CSN / JSON)
- Runtime behavior
- Datasphere UI representation
- Support BDC-aligned enhancements, including:
- Metadata-driven modeling
- Automation-ready modeling patterns
- Reusable templates and accelerators
- Collaborate with functional, analytics, and integration teams to stabilize and scale BDC-based solutions
- Contribute to innovation use cases involving:
- Model automation
- Semantic enrichment
- Technical validation and governance
- Support PoCs and future-ready scenarios aligned with SAP BDC adoption and roadmap
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Datasphere
- Working experience or strong understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) concepts and architecture
- Strong experience with SAP Datasphere Data Builder
- Hands-on experience in Python development for automation, validation, or utilities
- Solid understanding of:
- Local tables, graphical views, dimensions, and facts
- Text entities and multilingual modeling
- Semantic modeling and analytical consumption
- Experience creating and validating:
- Associations (master data, text, and hierarchical)
- Joins and relationships across models
- Good knowledge of JSON / CSN-based design-time artifacts
- Understanding of deployment lifecycle, transport behavior, and object activation in Datasphere / BDC context
- Ability to analyze technical issues spanning:
- Model logic
- Semantic behavior
- UI vs design-time inconsistencies
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Python-based automation utilities or frameworks
- Familiarity with SAP Datasphere CLI
- Understanding of SAP BDC positioning within SAP Analytics and Data landscape
- Experience reviewing:
- Technical logs
- Design-time artifacts
- Deployment and activation issues
- Exposure to PoCs, accelerators, and reusable content in SAP Datasphere / BDC context
