Job Title: Java Tech Architect (GenAI) Experience: 13–16 years Role Overview We are looking for a Java Tech Architect to lead R&D efforts in Generative AI for developer productivity. This role is hands-on, experimental, and innovation-driven—focusing on building prototypes, integrating GenAI with IDEs, and shaping the future of developer workflows. Key Responsibilities • R&D Prototyping: Build rapid prototypes of GenAI-powered productivity tools and evaluate feasibility for real-world developer adoption. • AI/IDE Integration: Experiment with IntelliJ/Eclipse plugins, embedding AI capabilities directly into developer environments. • Innovation & Experimentation: Drive POCs with cutting-edge LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI model fine-tuning. • Developer Experience Innovation: Design novel features that improve coding speed, quality, and collaboration for developers. • Agile Collaboration: Partner with product managers, researchers, and engineers to iterate quickly on new ideas. • Community Feedback Loop: Engage with early adopters to test prototypes, gather feedback, and refine solutions. • Open Source & Research: Explore contributions to open-source IDE ecosystems or AI tooling frameworks. • Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of AI/ML trends, bringing disruptive ideas into the lab and inspiring the team. Skills & Qualifications Java Expertise: Strong Java/J2EE background, with a passion for hands-on coding and experimentation. IDE Plugin Development: Experience with IntelliJ/Eclipse plugin architecture and rapid extension building. GenAI & LLM Integration: Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and AI APIs. Rapid Prototyping: Ability to quickly build, test, and iterate on new ideas. Web & Full-Stack Knowledge: Experience with web UI frameworks (React/Angular) to build companion tools. Agile Mindset: Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative, startup-like environments. Innovation Focus: Strong curiosity and ability to experiment with emerging technologies. Communication: Ability to communicate ideas effectively in both French and English.
