Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience (7+ years) in Core Mainframe technologies: COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
- Proven experience in mainframe re-hosting/migration projects, specifically on the Raincode platform.
- Practical exposure to Raincode for code modifications, compilation, debugging, and unit testing of batch and online components.
Role & responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, modify, and maintain mainframe batch and online applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
- Work on mainframe migration/re-hosting initiativesperform code conversion, enhancement, testing, and validation on the Raincode platform.
- Conduct detailed impact analysis for change requests and understand technical design specifications.
- Implement enhancements and support ongoing development following SDLC best practices.
- Perform SIT/UAT defect analysis, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely fixes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and client representatives.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of IMS DB/DC, Easytrieve, Assembler, and Datacom.
- Familiarity with REXX and CLIST scripting.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Telecom domain knowledge is an added advantage.
