We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working on client-facing projects and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Location: Pune / Chennai
Experience: 4–6 Years

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS.

  • Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment.

  • Provide production support, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on client projects.

  • Follow the SDLC process and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Utilize mainframe utilities and tools effectively for development and support activities.

 

equired Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in mainframe technologies: COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CICS.

  • Experience working on client projects with end-to-end delivery exposure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Sound understanding of SDLC methodologies and experience executing projects within SDLC frameworks.

  • Proficiency with mainframe tools such as:

    • TSO/ISPF

    • SPUFI

    • File Manager

    • Changeman

    • SAVRS

  • Prior production support experience is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
