Senior Accountant

Work closely with Chief Accountant and Project controllers to manage the balance sheet.

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and upload final report to the company’s SharePoint.

Provide on-going accounting guidance and feedback to project controllers.

Prepare Accounts Payable accrual report and attend a monthly meeting with the industry and project controllers to review each position.

Work with Payroll manager to review by-weekly payroll and upload the payroll file to the SAP system.

Prepare monthly journal entries and adjusting entries as needed to ensure accurate financial statements.

Review financial postings completed by the India offshore team.

Streamline and improve current processes to achieve efficiency and best practices. Maintenance of accounting periods, Cost centers, Profit centers, Projects, and Special General ledger indicators for North America entities.

Train new employees on preparing and posting revenue and expense Journal entries. (U.S. and offshore employees).

Prepare month end reports regarding provisions, project costs and lease expenses thru the IRIS reporting tool and submit the information to the Atos Group in France.

Complete closing files and comply with internal control requirements. 

Assist with annual audit preparations.

Lead/Participate in onsite meetings with external auditors to ensure proper understanding and to investigate and resolve audit findings.

Provide IFRS 15 analysis (revenue recognition) related to customer contracts.

Prepare forecast and evaluate financial performance for decision support.

Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.

Guide the cost analysis process with controllers and project managers.

Attend weekly revenue review meetings to estimate any major impact before month end.

Review Intercompany charges and Factory allocations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Two (2) years in any occupation with experience in accounting. Two (2) years in any occupation with experience in accounting must include: One (1) year of experience in financial controlling; Experience with IFRS’ general ledger accounting; Experience with bookkeeping and accounting best practices; SAP/Nessie accounting tool; and IRIS reporting tool and Oracle Hyperion Essbase.

TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in Plano, TX. Can work remotely or telecommute up to 100%.
