Network Engineer IV

Responsible for the development and maintenance of network communications.

Uses knowledge of LAN/MAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.

Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

Maintains network equipment up to software and hardware standards.

Consults with the customer on network architectural design specifications.

Maintains various network hardware across the enterprise network.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Five (5) years of experience in any occupation with network engineering or related experience.

Five (5) years in any occupation with network engineering or related experience must include: Experience with LAN Switch Networks including global routing, access switches, installations, configurations, and troubleshooting within Layer 2 and Layer 3; Experience configuring Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches using IO-S and NX-OS; Experience configuring network Layer 3 routing across a large multi-national organization on Cisco routers; Catalyst, ISR & ASR; Engineering and administration of multiprotocol (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS) routers, multilayer switches, network security devices, and network management systems; Experience with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures; and Experience with managed services concepts within an outsourcing environment.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and three (3) years of experience in any occupation with network engineering or related experience. Must have skills listed above.

ROVING/TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in Plano, TX. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute.

SALARY: $151,466 - $152,466
