Are you passionate about solving complex challenges on a global scale? We're on the lookout for a talented Senior Network Engineer Tier 2 (Firewall) to join our team!

 

 

As a Senior Network Engineer (Firewall) you'll be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and day to day management of our customer’s next generation firewall solution (Palo Alto and Juniper) in a 24 X 7 X 365 environment. Additionally, you will assist in monitoring, configuration changes, Firewall rule updates, accounts, and software updates while working alongside our team of cybersecurity experts.

 

What will you be doing:

 

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the customer’s enterprise firewall solution.
  • Manage day to day firewall operations, implementing firewall rule requests, configuration changes, and code upgrades as needed.
  • Incorporate and follow all change management processes and procedures as outlined by the customer.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving a wide variety of client firewall issues.
  • Participate in security and vulnerability risk assessments of the enterprise firewall environment.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of four (4-6) years of experience with managing enterprise firewall solutions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Primary experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall platform managed through Panorama and Juniper SRX firewall platform managed through JunOS Space.
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • Solid foundation in networking concepts, protocols/ports and their real-world application in troubleshooting complex network issues

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

 

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA, CCNP), or other relevant technical certifications such as Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) etc.
  • Prior experience with IT security devices such as F5 Load balancers, site to site VPN and Network IPS
  • Experience with change control policy and procedures.
  • An understanding of ITIL processes.
