Role Summary:
Lead the design and governance of a cloud-native, event-driven architecture using Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS, Apache Kafka, Apigee, Cloudflare, and Amazon S3.
Key Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end architecture (microservices, APIs, events, integrations)
Design Kafka-based event-driven patterns and API strategy via Apigee
Ensure scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization
Align solution with enterprise platforms and standards
Non-Functional Requirements:
Ensure scalability, high availability, and performance optimization
Define security architecture (OAuth2, SSO via Okta, API security, data protection)
Establish observability strategy (logging, monitoring, tracing)
Drive cost optimization across cloud and platform usage
Governance & Delivery:
Provide architectural oversight across development teams
Conduct design reviews and enforce best practices
Collaborate with DevOps, security, and platform teams
Support RFP, design workshops, and stakeholder discussions
Required Skills & Experience:
15+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture
Strong expertise in Java-based microservices and distributed systems
Deep knowledge of event-driven architecture using Kafka
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift (ROSA preferred)
Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee
Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS preferred)
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise integrations
