Role Type: Full-time | Development + Rotational Production Support

 

We are looking for a strong Mainframe Developer with solid hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS. The candidate must be technically sound and willing to contribute to both development and production support activities on a rotational basis.

 

Development

  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications.

  • Write and optimize COBOL programs, JCL scripts, DB2 SQL queries, and VSAM file structures.

  • Develop and debug CICS online modules.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT.

  • Participate in requirement analysis and provide technical solutions.

Production Support

  • Provide support on a rotational schedule.

  • Monitor batch jobs and online systems; resolve failures promptly.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes or workarounds.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional and infrastructure teams during issue resolution.

  • Handle incident, problem, and change management processes.

Technical Skills (Must Have)

  • COBOL – Strong development and debugging skills

  • JCL – Job setup, utilities, error handling

  • DB2 – SQL coding, performance tuning, SPs

  • VSAM – File creation, handling, and maintenance

  • CICS – Program development, debugging, transaction flow

  • Hands-on experience in SDLC and production support environments

Other Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment

  • Willingness to work rotational support shifts

  • Good communication and coordination skills
