Job Summary
The Solution Manager (Pre-Sales) plays a critical role in driving revenue by shaping and positioning customer-centric solutions during the sales cycle. This role partners closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to understand customer needs, design compelling solutions, and support deal closure while ensuring solutions are scalable, feasible, and aligned with the company’s strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

Partner with Sales to support the full pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery to deal closure

Lead customer discovery sessions to understand business goals, technical requirements, and success criteria

Design and articulate end-to-end solutions that address customer needs and differentiate the offering

Deliver solution presentations, demos, and workshops to technical and non-technical audiences

Respond to RFPs/RFIs, including solution design, scope, and assumptions
Solution Design & Ownership

Translate customer requirements into solution architectures, proposals, and high-level designs

Collaborate with Product and Engineering to validate feasibility, effort, and timelines

Define solution scope, dependencies, risks, and commercial considerations

Ensure solutions align with product roadmap, technical standards, and security/compliance requirements
Handover & Delivery Alignment

Support smooth handover from pre-sales to delivery teams, ensuring clarity on scope and expectations

Act as solution owner during early delivery phases to ensure alignment with the sold solution

Capture feedback and insights to influence product and solution improvements
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

X+ years of experience in solution management, pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting
-
Strong understanding of technology solutions, systems integration, and architecture concepts

Proven experience supporting complex sales cycles

Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SaaS, cloud, enterprise software, or digital transformation

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models

Experience working with CRM tools, RFP processes, and pricing models

Relevant certifications (e.g., Cloud, Architecture, Agile, TOGAF)
