We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Support Lead with strong expertise in IMS DB/DC to lead support, maintenance, testing, and enhancement activities. The role involves managing onsite–offshore teams, coordinating daily support operations, and working closely with business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Mainframe support, maintenance, testing, and enhancement activities.
- Own and manage the service portfolio, ensuring SLA adherence and timely issue resolution.
- Coordinate daily support operations, assign tasks, and monitor progress across onsite and offshore teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder management and business communication.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions for support and development teams.
- Drive test data identification, data analysis, and data mining activities using databases.
- Ensure quality deliverables, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Technical Skills (Mandatory):
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- IMS DB/DC (High Proficiency required)
- COBOL
- DB2
- JCL
- Good knowledge of SQL queries.
- Proven experience in Mainframe testing and production support environments.
Functional & Domain Skills:
- Experience in Manufacturing domain is an added advantage.
- Exposure to onsite–offshore coordination models.
- Strong understanding of application support, enhancement, and development processes.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, users, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mindset with a focus on timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Nice to Have:
- Experience leading large support teams.
- Exposure to service management and continuous improvement initiatives.
