We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Support Lead with strong expertise in IMS DB/DC to lead support, maintenance, testing, and enhancement activities. The role involves managing onsite–offshore teams, coordinating daily support operations, and working closely with business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Mainframe support, maintenance, testing, and enhancement activities.
  • Own and manage the service portfolio, ensuring SLA adherence and timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate daily support operations, assign tasks, and monitor progress across onsite and offshore teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder management and business communication.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions for support and development teams.
  • Drive test data identification, data analysis, and data mining activities using databases.
  • Ensure quality deliverables, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

 

Technical Skills (Mandatory):

  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • IMS DB/DC (High Proficiency required)
    • COBOL
    • DB2
    • JCL
  • Good knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Proven experience in Mainframe testing and production support environments.

 

Functional & Domain Skills:

  • Experience in Manufacturing domain is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to onsite–offshore coordination models.
  • Strong understanding of application support, enhancement, and development processes.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, users, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a focus on timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience leading large support teams.
  • Exposure to service management and continuous improvement initiatives.
