We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MongoDB (NoSQL) Developer and Administrator to join our team. This hybrid role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable database solutions, while also managing and optimizing our MongoDB database infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in NoSQL database design, performance tuning, and MongoDB administration.

Key Responsibilities:
Development:
• Design and implement data models and schemas for high-performance MongoDB databases.
• Write efficient and reusable MongoDB queries and aggregation pipelines.
• Integrate MongoDB with applications and back-end services.
• Develop scripts and tools to support ETL processes and data transformation.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data teams to build scalable systems.
• Implement data access layers and APIs that interact with MongoDB.
Administration:
• Have a good understanding on Installation, configuration, and maintainenance tasks of MongoDB environments (standalone, replica sets, sharded clusters).
• Monitor database performance and conduct tuning and optimization.
• Have a good understanding on backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ensure security best practices, including user authentication, role-based access, and auditing.
• Monitor logs, manage alerts, and troubleshoot database issues proactively.
• Conduct regular health checks and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with MongoDB development and administration.
• Deep understanding of MongoDB architecture, indexing, sharding, and replication.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas and/or on-premise deployments.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with JSON, BSON, and data serialization.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Ops Manager, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles for NoSQL databases.
• Ability to write and optimize complex aggregation queries.

Preferred Qualifications:
• MongoDB Certified DBA/Developer.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of other NoSQL systems (e.g., Cassandra, Couchbase).
• Experience in migrating relational databases to NoSQL.
