The Role

The mission of the Senior Consultant is to contribute to the development of our Business Advisory Team within Southern Europe region (Italy, France and Spain), to add value to our clients by developing and delivering intelligent sustainability solutions that help make sense of the environmental landscape and the challenges presented by a changing climate.

With a significant increase in Net Zero commitments by corporates we are seeing a significant increase in demand. Within the Sustainable IT team, the consultant focuses on the digital aspect of the Net Zero approaches implemented by our clients by offering advice on low-carbon and responsible digital technology. His advice covers both green IT and IT for green and other dimensions of sustainable development applied to digital (accessibility, human rights, responsible purchasing, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Advisory Manager in Italy, the Senior Consultant will contribute to various advisory projects, primarily related to the field of sustainable IT. In order to support our clients, this role will be responsible for:

  • Lead on strategic projects with clients to enable them to achieve their Net Zero commitments also by providing innovative solutions;
  • Understand the impact of a client on the environment throughout the value chain of its organization and its information systems (IS);
  • Evaluate the specific needs of each client in order to best meet their ambitions (assessment of the carbon maturity of organizations on the digital side, carbon footprint of the IS, solutions / technologies aimed at guaranteeing the energy efficiency of the IS, modelling tools physical risks and measurement of carbon emissions, supply chain assessment);
  • Supervise a team of consultants within the framework of the missions entrusted to it;
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services;
  • Participate in the development of commercial proposals and presenting them to the client.

About you:

The Senior Consultant – Sustainable IT will have significant experience within the sustainability sector. This role requires a wide variety of capabilities. The list below covers the main items;

  • Excellent command in the different digital dimensions (infrastructures, applications, terminals, governance);
  • More than 3 years of experience in green IT, eco-design, assessment of the carbon impact of digital as a consultant and/or project manager.
  • Beyond his or her technical skills, the candidate has a good command of project management. He or she demonstrates good interpersonal skills with both colleagues and customers and has an appetite for the development of the business;
  • A genuine curiosity about new technologies having a significant impact on climate change and the environment;
  • Spoken and written fluency in Italian and English. Spoken and written fluency in French and/or Spanish would be an advantage;
  • Flexibility, willingness and ability to travel within Italy and internationally on assignment.


The role will be based in Milan, however, working from home will be possible some days per week in agreement with the line manager.
