Position Overview

The primary role of the Technical Architect is to define, design, and govern the overall ServiceNow solution architecture. This role partners with customers to understand business and technical requirements, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing platform solutions aligned with enterprise standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high-level understanding of the application development lifecycle and SDLC methodologies, including Agile frameworks.
  • Provide strong customer-facing and consultative engagement, delivering high-quality outcomes through excellent technical and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Lead solution design activities, development support, testing strategies, proof of concepts (PoCs), and migration planning considerations.
  • Design and architect scalable, distributed, on-premises, and cloud-based services and applications that integrate across multiple technologies.
  • Lead the successful implementation of architectural designs while managing expectations, risks, governance, and adherence to best practice principles.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to analyze and solve complex challenges, presenting solution options and technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Develop reliable technical solution plans, including estimations and optimized delivery approaches.
  • Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to ensure governance, compliance, and architectural alignment.
  • Analyze complex functional and non-functional requirements, making appropriate design adjustments and providing effort estimations.
  • Define, develop, and maintain reference architectures, domain models, and design patterns.
  • Identify emerging and disruptive technologies that can deliver measurable business value.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and delivery teams.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including technology and application rationalization efforts.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 8–10+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong focus on application hosting, solution architecture, and design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience, including solution design and platform architecture.

Minimum Required Skills

  • Proven experience delivering innovative and effective solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) processes, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Solid knowledge of modern web technologies, including:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • XML
    • JavaScript/AJAX
  • Extensive experience designing and supporting third-party integrations with the ServiceNow platform using:
    • REST
    • SOAP
    • SFTP
    • MID Server
    • Related integration technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise technical components and security technologies, including:
    • LDAP
    • Single Sign-On (SSO)
    • SSL
    • Other security and infrastructure technologies
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to a high-performance delivery environment.

Certifications

Required and preferred certifications include:

  • ITIL v2 or ITIL v3 Foundations
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow ITSM
  • ServiceNow ITOM
    • Discovery Implementation Specialist
    • CMDB
  • ServiceNow ITAM
    • HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
    • SAM (Software Asset Management)

Preferred Certifications

Any of the following certifications will be considered an advantage:
