Senior Data Engineer (remote position)
Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:
- 7+ years working with relational DB in a production environment
- 7+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- 7+ years experience in SSIS packages
- 7+ years with Azure DevOps or Jira.
- 4+ years experience working in an Agile/SCRUM Environment
- 2+ years Python/C# scripting experience
Responsibilities:
o Work with Technical and business team to understand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications.
o Design, code and maintain new and existing complex SQL stored procedures and functions.
o Review SQL code written by other developers to ensure compliance to coding standards and best practices as well as efficient performance.
o Work with other engineers to troubleshoots, repair and performance tune databases o Perform data analysis and data profiling tasks to provide support and recommendations for development and design decisions.
o Create SSIS packages for data transformation, cleansing, caching, aggregation, staging and transfer.
o Define, prepare, execute and implements data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality.
o Troubleshoot problems that may come up with database environments: performance issues; replication issues; or operational issues.
o Maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and /or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
- Location: everywhere in Mexico (Mexican citizens and/or foreigners already based in mexico and holding a valid work permit)
- Language requirements: Spanish (native - advanced); advanced English.
